Stockport charity, Beechwood Cancer Care is continuing to support cancer patients and their families despite social distancing requirements, through offering telephone support to clients.
Although the charity’s building is closed, Beechwood is still providing support for its existing clients, and continues to take on new clients.
Despite restrictions due to coronavirus, the charity has been able to adapt to the current situation to continue offering support. The Stockport charity is now offering its counselling and support by phone during this period.
Healthcare professionals are still able to make referrals and individuals can continue to self-refer.
Beechwood Cancer Care offer support and counselling to those living with cancer, and other life-limited illnesses, as well as their families and carers. The charity work with people at all stages of their illness and clients include include those who have just been diagnosed and need a listening ear, people at different stages of treatment and those ready to move on following treatment.
