Cheadle based online retailer of home-use beauty devices, CurrentBody, has expanded its team following recent investment.
CurrentBody has made seven hires across its operations, commercial and marketing functions. Further financial backing in December 2019 from investors, BGF and NVM Private Equity, have enabled the online beauty device retailer to begin to deliver its expansion plans after reaching the £10 million funding milestone.
Leanne Cooney joins CurrentBody as operations manager; Madelaine Wahdan as global partnership manager as the business looks towards new markets, and Leticia Tinelli takes the position of logistics coordinator.
The marketing team has been boosted with Beth Cox as social and outreach strategist; Carly Hibbins as online content executive; Beatriz Palomino as paid media manager and Tom Williams completes the hires as junior content producer.
Laurence Newman, co-founder and CEO of CurrentBody, said:
Following investment, we were looking to bolster our team. We’re really proud to announce the new hires that have joined the business in recent weeks. The calibre of talent across our business means we’re ideally positioned to bring our plans to life.”
Co-founded by Laurence Newman (pictured) and Andrew Showman, CurrentBody sells facial cleaners, hair removal devices and other beauty devices online through 11 own-language websites around the world.
