Anyone aged 16 or over in Stockport can get their Covid-19 vaccination at a walk-in pop up clinic this Bank Holiday Monday.
Pop ups will take place on the Bank Holiday Monday (30 August) between 10am and 2pm, and on Tuesday 31 August, from 10am until 4pm, with both first and second doses of the vaccines available. No bookings are required.
The pop ups will offer first and second Pfizer and Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccinations to eligible adults over 18 and provide Pfizer jabs to our 16 to 17 years old. Second doses can be given if eight weeks (56 days) have passed since receiving the first dose.
The pop ups will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, Trinity Gardens, 351 Bramhall Lane, SK3 8TP. Parking is limited, so drivers are asked to use the on-site car park at Trinity Church or to park responsibly in the surrounding residential roads. Alternatively, Davenport Station is about a 10 minute walk away.
Stockport also has a number of community pharmacies offering walk in and bookable appointments. To view the full range of options in Stockport, and how to book, visit the NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group website.
Dr Cath Munro, Chair of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said:
“If people don’t have plans on the Bank Holiday Monday, now’s a good time to get their first or second vaccinations, so we all stay on-track to protect ourselves, our family and friends and wider community.
“The pop ups are for anyone who is eligible for a vaccination, aged 16 or over. It doesn’t matter if people are coming for the first time, or whether they are completing their vaccination with their second jabs.”
Cllr Jude Wells, Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Health at Stockport Council, said:
“Let’s keep going! It would be great if we can see more first-timers at our pop ups, and people completing their vaccination course by getting their second jabs, and more 16-17 year olds for the Pfizer jab. It’s so easy to do: people walk straight in without having to book at a time that suits them.”
