Azets, the UK top 10 accountancy and advisory Group, has announced the appointment of Joe Stroud as Corporate Finance Partner.
With nearly 20 years of experience within the investment banking and private equity industry, Joe (pictured left) has a unique perspective on transactions. Having operated as both adviser and investor, he delivers well-rounded judgment and strategic advice to his clients. His specialisms include advising entrepreneurs on succession planning and exit strategies, supporting clients through private equity transactions, and helping businesses to grow through acquisitions and operational improvement.
On his appointment, Joe said:
“Azets is one of the most active advisors in the UK, with a team that has grown significantly over the last two years and whose investment in their people and technology and track record of closing deals is making them increasingly attractive to business owners and management teams.
“Growing the Corporate Finance team in the North West will add further capability and scope to their already successful national and international practice, whilst also providing additional services to existing and new clients within the region. Having worked as both a mid-market adviser and investor for nearly two decades, I look forward to assisting SMEs and corporates with their funding, acquisition and investment needs.”
Lee Humble (pictured, right), Head of UK Corporate Finance at Azets, added:
“Joe’s extensive experience supporting a range of businesses and organisations through all aspects of corporate finance, coupled with his years working in private equity and investment banking, will be an asset to our team. We’ve advised and closed a significant number of deals this year despite the M&A market being one of the most turbulent in recent memory, and I’m confident that figure will continue to increase now Joe has joined us to support the team in this key regional market and others across the UK and Europe.”
Azets is an international business advisory group with regional offices in the North West in Burnley, Bolton, Lancaster, Manchester, Preston, Shrewsbury, St Asaph and Stockport.
