
Three students are celebrating their A Level Art success at Inscape House, a special school for autistic young people, in Stockport.
The young adults achieved grades ranging from C to A. Two students have studied at Inscape House School for seven years and the third only started during the pandemic in September 2020 .
Inscape House School, which is based in Cheadle, educates around 100 autistic students, aged between 5 and 18.
The school is run by the Stockport-based Together Trust, one of the North-west’s leading disability charities. Richard Nancollis, Deputy Head Teacher at Inscape House School commented:
“The quality of work this year has been exceptional.
“Our teachers inspire our learners and provide opportunities for creative expression in drawing, painting, photography and creative/digital design. Inscape’s A Level Art programme has helped build self-esteem and provided motivation for many students.
“Many congratulations to this year’s successful students. Their hard work has been reflected in their well-deserved results and we are very proud of them.”
Following their A Level results, two students will continue their education at Inscape House school, while one is relocating, hoping to start their own business.
Inscape House School, run by has achieved the ‘Advanced Specialist Accreditation’ from National Autistic Society.
