Could you be The Voice of Stockport? Do you have a crooner in the office, a hidden talent in finance or an Adele in accounts ?
Stockport Council is encouraging aspiring musicians with ‘The Voice’ to attend an open mic night in the town later this month.
The call comes as the Voice UK heads to Stockport in search of singing talent for the next series of the prime ITV show.
It is one of a number of open mic nights being held across the country in preparation for the Voice UK 2018.
Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, Cllr Kate Butler, said:
“The search is now on for the Voice UK’s new vocal talent following the success of the recent series.
“With the show reaching so many people it’s a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is hoping for a chance to break into the entertainment industry. Equally, it’s also a great opportunity for Stockport to potentially boast of yet another new music star following the recent successes of Stockport band Blossoms in the UK music charts.
“So if you want your voice to be heard, please do go ahead and seize the opportunity.”
The open mic night auditions for The Voice take place on Sunday 30 April from 7pm at Remedy Bar Stockport at Stockport Marketplace on a first come first served basis.
