Arc is shining a light on arts and health in Stockport through opportunities for groups, creatives and mental health services to connect, share and learn.
The fourth annual #StockportArtsandHealthWeek, takes place from October 10th–18th 2024, held at Arc at Hat Works and other venues. Events will explore how being creative can help us all, whether we recognise ourselves as having poor mental health or not, and how we can work together to provide experiences of real impact for people in Stockport and wider Greater Manchester. The organisation will also running and signposting free and low-cost arts workshops, tasters and walks, to allow anyone to try creating to boost their wellbeing.
Alongside Stockport Arts and Health Week, Arc has also launched its 2023 micro-commission project legacy exhibition ‘Making Art Happen’, showing the transformative impact of the arts on health.

Most events are free, but donations to support Arc’s charity work are welcome via Eventbrite, JustGiving or by cash or card in the centre. This project has also been funded by UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
