Creative arts and mental health organisation, Arc, is inviting stakeholders in the charity’s services to join them and guest speakers from the borough to discuss the role of creative pursuits in supporting mental health.
The event forms part of Stockport’s second Arts and Health Week, taking place from 10th to 14th October 2022.
The Arc Stakeholder Event will take place at Stockport’s Hat Museum in the town centre on Friday 14th October from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Discussion will be chaired by Stockport Council Chief Executive, Caroline Simpson, who will be joined by guest speakers Jennifer Connolly, the borough’s Director of Public Health and GMCA’s Julie McCarthy, who will set some context for conversations.
Discussion will focus around how Stockport can connect with the Creative Health and Live Well strategies in GM, and Stockport’s All Age Mental Health Strategy. This engaging event will provide an opportunity to contribute to conversations on workplace wellbeing, arts in healthcare settings, workforce development for creative facilitators, engaging children and young people, and diversity in the sector.
There will also be the opportunity to give your ideas on how an Arts and Health hub in the heart of a regenerated Stockport town centre could impact on the health and wellbeing of Stockport residents and beyond.
