Altrincham based luxury property developers, Landmark Living, have submitted plans to build eight apartments and Co-op convenience store in Heald Green.
Eight two-bedroom apartments will sit atop the 4,000 sq ft mini-supermarket proposed for Wilmslow Road in Heald Green, repurposing the site of a former car dealership.
Landmark Living hope the scheme will expand walkable shopping options for local residents, with the site sitting alongside an existing parade of shops, including hairdressers and takeaway food outlets, but with no groceries retailer. The nearest other supermarket to the site, is a Sainsbury’s store off the A34, which is difficult to access on foot.
Landmark Living, who have previously delivered a number of small, high quality housing developments in Altrincham hope to see a swift approval for the scheme, with a view to break ground by Autumn 2021. Developers expect the apartments and retail unit to benefit Heald Green through the creation of local jobs through a environmentally sustainable shopping option, and bring a derelict, brownfield site into use for the community.
B2 Architecture are the architects on the scheme. Nexus Planning, civil engineers Munro Bell, and transport consultants Ashton Helme have also advised Landmark Living on the Heald Green apartment scheme.
