AeroCloud elevates Stockport’s Tech Hub status with new UK headquarters at Highbank House

AeroCloud, the intelligent airport management platform founded in Macclesfield in 2019, has chosen to join a growing number of tech firms moving to Stockport town centre.

Taking a 4,500 sq ft space at Highbank House, Orbit Developments first fitted CAT A+ space in Stockport, the business adds further weight to the Stockport’s growing reputation as a hub for tech businesses.

The new office has a mix of collaborative areas and features town hall tiered seating, bespoke Dave Draws doodle wall, high end fitted break out space, exposed services and room for a growing team of around 50 staff, who are over the moon with the new office. The refurbishment was carried out by local contractor Egan Reid earlier this year and items such as new LED pendant linear lighting, shower and cycle facilities all contributed to the workspace securing an A rated EPC, acknowledging the buildings shift to a greener approach.

Stockport as a town has seen significant investment from both public and private sectors and grabbed a number of headlines in national press for the way the town has changed and reaped the rewards. The evidence of demand for commercial and residential property in the town centre is extremely strong; this latest notable deal comes only a few months after Orbit completed a £1 million pound scheme in the town centre, which was also taken by another tech company Digital ID.
