The Stockport based branding specialist Inness Design has just completed a major new online Cook School for the home appliance giant AEG.
The brief was to create a site that followed the modern high tech nature of the AEG brand; Inness created a simple clean modern logo and the site design was kept minimal with a strong brand colour palette and distinctive modern typography, giving the branding a strong personality.
The site is a ‘one-stop’ foodie portal containing hundreds for recipes, videos, a food event calendar and a directory of national cookery schools. However the main focus of the site is to encourage user interaction through the ‘Cook School’ site itself and social media. Each month users getting the chance to become an on-line TV chef by uploading their own video into the dedicated video gallery enabling home cooks to share there cookery gems and eureka moments with the rest of the viewing public.
Periodically the site focuses a culinary theme with videos to provide inspiration and inviting users to get involved and share their thoughts, ideas and recipes on that months topic. The objective is for the users to take ‘ownership’ and drive it’s content along side the numerous celebrity chefs who are on show.
