Stockport Council’s Services for Young People have moved to Units 48-46 Grand Central, Wellington Road South, Stockport SK1 3TA.
The new centre, on the main A6, will make it easier for young people to access its services.
Young people aged 13-19 years (and up to 25 years for people with a disability) are invited to pop in for a chat to find out more about careers, apprenticeships, training or further education.
If you are a young person in Stockport and unsure what to do next – whether to pursue education or training or employment – and need some guidance, advice and support, the Young People’s Workers will be happy to help and talk you through your options, help you make an informed decision and right choices about your future.
Young people can get help with CV preparation, progress on to further and higher education, advice on work placements and apprenticeships available. The Young People’s Workers will signpost people to other services.
The Services for Young People Centre is open from 8.30am-7.00pm Monday to Thursday; 8.30am-5.00pm on Friday, and 9.30am-1.00pm on Saturday. For more information visit www.stockport.gov.uk/sfyp or phone 0161 474 2300.
