Stockport and Manchester-based accountants, Bennett Verby have hired a seventh apprentice for their Stockport office, making a total of three appointments in 2016.
17 year-old Daniel Joynson and 18 year-old Liam Rainey joined the growing team in July as Accounts apprentices. Both Daniel and Liam will have the opportunity to work across the company’s many departments from bookkeeping and payroll, to accounts and audit, to tax.
The firm will continue to support the youngsters in any exams and qualifications they need to achieve their goals.
The hires mark the firm’s second and third apprenticeship hires this year. These appointments are part of the company’s plan to proactively grow the size of the rapidly-expanding business over the next 3 years.
Bennett Verby director Neil Jones, who began his career with the firm back in 1999 as an apprentice, said, “Both Daniel and Liam are bright, eager to learn and driven. We are delighted to welcome them to the team and are looking forward to helping them build on their natural talents and progress in their chosen careers.”
Mr. Jones continued, “As a company, we’re passionate about hiring young, local people. As well as investing in the local economy, our apprenticeship scheme gives young individuals the skills and confidence they need for the world of work. It’s incredibly rewarding for everyone involved.”
