It’s been a charitable week at Stockport Accountants and Tax Advisors Bennett Verby.
Tax Senior Judith Burr arranged a food drive for the Wellspring resource centre, which serves around 100-150 meals per day to homeless and disadvantaged people in Stockport. The team donated hundreds of pounds’ worth of food, toiletries and warm clothes, which Judith took to The Wellspring on Wednesday.
Judith said,
“The Wellspring is a huge part of the community in Stockport and is a charity we have supported for many years. Thanks to everyone here I was able to take a car boot full of food to help over Christmas.”
On Thursday the practice celebrated Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children, raising money for the charity and keeping very warm in the process! The day was organised by auditor Chloe Lancashire, who also arranged games and activities to boost donations.
Bennett Verby Chief Executive Bernard Verby said
“We are tremendously proud of our team’s commitment to raising funds for charity. It is very important, especially at this time of year, to consider people less fortunate than ourselves and both The Wellspring and Save the Children are fantastic causes. I would also like to personally thank Judith and Chloe for their efforts and enthusiasm in getting everyone involved.”
