Gorvins lawyer Danielle Ayres has been shortlisted for the prestigious Lynne Freeman Award.
Danielle is in the running for the Rising Stars in Law award run by We Are The City, which promotes women in business.
Danielle, an employment lawyer who specialises in maternity and pregnant discrimination cases, said: “Since returning to work after my own maternity leave, I have concentrated my efforts on helping women who have suffered discrimination in the workplace, due to pregnancy or maternity.
“I found that either the women did not know their rights and had pulled their hair out worrying about these issues, or that employers had not freely passed on this information which would have eased the burden for these mothers whilst on maternity leave.
“I am committed to helping pregnant women and those on maternity leave who are suffering unfair treatment at work, and feel through my volunteer work and the work I do at Gorvins that I am doing so.”
The winner will be notified in June and invited to the winners’ party in London later that month.
