
PZ Cussons’ non-executive chairman Richard Harvey is to retire at the end of the year, part of Mr Harvey’s plans to retire and relocate to New Zealand when he leaves the company on December 31.
PZ Cussons, whose new International HQ opened at Manchester Airport Business Park in 2010, was set up by George Paterson and George Zochonis who created a trading post in Sierra Leone to trade goods between West Africa and the UK, has begun the process of recruiting a successor to step into the role in 2017.
Group chief executive Alex Kanellis said: “On behalf of my colleagues on the board and across the whole business, I would like to thank Richard for the very significant contribution which he has made since his appointment in 2010.
“His support, enthusiasm and wise counsel have been tremendously valuable over that time. We look forward to continuing to work with him until his retirement in December and to announcing his successor in due course.”
