The recently released health and safety statistics revealed that there were 23.3 million work days lost due to ill health and injuries caused by work related conditions, the majority attributed to stress, depression & anxiety and musculoskeletal disorders.
The bigger picture is that this is a cost to businesses in lost productivity time and additional overtime payouts. But it also puts a strain on the economy as tax payers contribute to getting employees back to good health and ultimately back to work.
Health & Safety trainer Michelle Hay is confident that these statistics can be improved by educating staff in their role in health and safety at work:
“Better engagement can help to reduce lost days and additional unecessary overheads. The first stage of this is always training.”
Michelle has managed and trained people for more than 30 years and uses a programme that is people focused, engaging and fun. She is skilled in protecting businesses from unnecessary compensation claims, while ensuring that employees understand their own responsibilities to work safely.
Training Courses:
Michelle Hay has a ‘3 for 2 courses’ offer on all training courses booked in November.
Delivery can be anytime up to 18th December, so plenty of time to get organised. All employees must have manual handling, fire safety and basic health and safety training by Law and these can be delivered in half day sessions. Now there’s no excuse because you can book all three and pay for two.
For full details and check dates call Michelle on 0161 298 1040 or go online and see what courses your teams need to work safely.
