Stockport jobs fair is back again. Local residents who are looking for a job or the next step on their career are invited to the Stockport Jobs Fair on Tuesday 26th September between 10.00am to 2.00pm at Stockport Town Hall.
A record number of employers are taking part this year, with more than 400 vacancies available from over 30 different companies, so it’s hoped many more job-seekers will find success.
The Jobs Fair is open to anyone currently looking for a job or career support and it is free to attend – it also features organisations offering employment advice and guidance.
Confirmed companies include Sky, Manchester Airport Group, Cfs, British Gas and TK Maxx, in addition to new employers opening at Redrock in November such as Zizzi, the Light Cinema and Pizza Express.
A free information session will also be run at the event for anyone wanting to find out more about the job opportunities available through the Manchester Airport Academy, including the pre-employment training and employment support they offer.
An annual event, organised by Stockport Council and Jobcentre Plus, the Jobs Fair has proved very successful in matching employers with their future employees.
Councillor Kate Butler, Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration at Stockport Council, said: “Getting the right help and advice as you look for work or the next step in your career is vital. The Jobs Fair provides a great way to get this all in one place. It is a great event that I would highly recommend. ”
There’s no need to book – just turn up.
