Following the success of our first Sector Connector event back in January 2019, Good Business Brokerage is again partnering with Stockport Council and Stockport Homes to bring another opportunity to get involved in a cross sector event, that uniquely brings businesses together with local community groups, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.
‘Sector Connector’ sees organisations from across Stockport meet up to exchange ideas, support and expertise so that they can all overcome some of the challenges they face in achieving their goals.

The event, provides an opportunity for representatives from the voluntary, charity, social enterprise and private sector to join forces and explore how they can work together and explore the idea that we can each benefit one another whilst assisting in bringing inclusive growth to Stockport.
Alexander Deakin, Marketing Manager at The Vernon Building Society said of our last event; “The event was an absolute success and the presentation has definitely given me a new perspective when looking at the partnership idea and how a business can help a community group through a very individual relationship. It has opened a lot of questions for me to take to the leadership team in regards to how we approach a form of partnership in the area”
This event is the second in the ‘Sector Connector’ series – and judging by the success of the first, it should be a real hit. There is no financial cost to those taking part – all we ask is that people spend a couple of hours exploring how unconventional partnerships can reveal new, unique benefits and opportunities such as, advice on marketing and access to venue space.
Simone Callaghan from Good Business Brokerage says “we want everyone who attends to get something out of the event, this is not only about giving support, but getting it too – our whole ethos is about mutual benefit. One surprising outcome of our first event was that businesses actually got offers of support from the voluntary and community groups. This surprised everyone and just goes to show when we open ourselves up to conversations outside our usual networks we can create some really great, meaningful connections”.
‘Sector Connector 2’, will take place between 9.30am – 1pm on Wednesday 26th June 2019. For more information on the event or to reserve a place please feel free to email Simone at goodbusinessbrokerage@outlook.com
