
Stockport Business Awards, an event organised by local accountancy practice Clarke Nicklin, is now celebrating its 5th year having initially been set up by the firm in 2012.
This year’s awards are now open for business and entry forms can be downloaded online at www.stockportbusinessawards.co.uk.
Last year a record number of entries were received and organisers are hoping to uncover even more successful businesses in 2016.
Andrew Baggott commented; “It is a testament to businesses in Stockport that the awards have now become a crucial night in the business calendar. The quantity and quality of entries never ceases to amaze me. The awards celebrate all that is great about business in Stockport, and we are lucky that we do have a lot to shout about in the area.”

The Excellence in CSR category is a new one for 2016 which aims to recognise a local business which has a commitment to delivering effective, high-impact, socially responsible initiatives.
Ben Poland, also of Clarke Nicklin, added; “There’s something for everyone so I encourage you to take a look at the entry forms and nominate your businesses – we’ve had some real surprise winners in the past, small little-known businesses beating huge internationals, but as they say – you’ve got to be in it to win it.”
Entries opened on Monday and remain open until Friday 27th May.
