A new pre-school facility has been unveiled at 0-2-5 Nursery in Heaton Moor, thanks to a six figure funding deal from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Work to convert two cellar rooms at a popular Stockport nursery has resulted in the creation of a gorgeous new pre-school facility for its children to enjoy.
0-2-5 Nursery in Heaton Moor, Stockport, recently secured a six figure funding deal with Royal Bank of Scotland to undertake the work, which has seen a large new classroom created, fully fitted out with brand new furniture, toys and learning equipment. The pre-school room also has direct access to a newly developed outdoor courtyard which children are free to access under supervision throughout the day.
In addition to the cellar conversion, the owners have also created a new outdoor mud garden area where children can enjoy planting and growing their own vegetables.
The refurbishment work has enabled the nursery to increase the number of children it can care for by 13, taking the total number of places available to 87. It has also resulted in the creation of five new local jobs.
Established in 1991, 0-2-5 Nursery is located on Thornfield Road in Heaton Mersey and owned by Paul and Cheryl Stark. The nursery employs 32 members of staff, many of whom have worked for the company for over 15 years.
Cheryl Stark, Owner of 0-2-5 Nursery, said: “The new pre-school facility is fantastic and we are really thrilled with it. The children are loving spending time in their new space and having unrestricted, supervised access to the outdoors.
“The additional space has meant that we have been able to increase the number of childcare places we have available which has helped us to satisfy some of the demand we have for places at our nursery.
“I’d like to thank Royal Bank of Scotland for supporting our development plans, Michele Fynan has provided us with excellent support and guidance throughout and we enjoy working alongside her to improve our business.”
Michele Fynan, Business Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland said: “I am so pleased that we have been able to support Paul and Cheryl with the expansion of their nursery. The new pre-school area is fantastic and you only have to look at the children’s faces to see how much they enjoy the time they spend there.
“Supporting local businesses to improve their offerings and to help benefit the local community is something I am keen to do and I am thrilled with the changes we have helped 0-2-5 Nursery make.”
