2025 Stockport Business Summit

The Summit will be chaired by Steve Oliver, CEO and Founder of musicMagpie, guiding a morning of insight, discussion and collaboration featuring some of Stockport’s most influential voices.
You’ll hear reflections and forward-looking perspectives from Cllr Mark Roberts, Michael Cullen and Paul Richards, setting the tone for a new phase of growth through the Economic Delivery Plan 2025–2028.
Four themed sessions will explore what’s next for Stockport’s economy through the Plan’s core pillars:
Enterprising & Productive: chaired by Lisa Roberts (SQS), with senior representatives from GM Business Growth Hub, CDL, SEDA, IN Accountancy and FirstPlay Dietary Foods on supporting business growth and innovation.
Fair & Inclusive: chaired by Cllr Michaela Meikle, with contributors from Sector 3, Vernon Building Society, Stockport College and One+All on creating opportunities for all.
Climate Friendly & Resilient: insights from Amy House (Green Economy) and Nick Leslie (Stockport Council) on sustainability, cost reduction and resilience.
Accessible & Connected: an update from Jamie Birtles on the transport and connectivity developments shaping the borough’s future.

The morning concludes with an interactive session and networking lunch, giving you the chance to share your perspective, connect with peers, and help turn ambition into action.
