“The Starkey Hearing Innovation Expo 2014 provided 3,500 delegates, all of whom are hearing aid audiologists and customers of Starkey, with an elite line-up of speakers from whom to listen and learn; Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Guy Kawasaki from Apple and Carly Fiorina, C E of Hewlett Packard, were amongst those who imparted golden nuggets of knowledge and experience, it was extraordinary to realise how much common ground we share.”
Even when the odds have been stacked against him, Trump never quit: “The harder you work, the luckier you get,” said Trump. “Don’t ever quit.”
President Bill Clinton delivered an inspirational message on global cooperation and empowering people. “Nobody acting alone in a complicated world makes as good of decisions as a diverse group working together,” said Clinton.
President George W. Bush shared excellent advice on leadership: “Know what you know and what you don’t know, then surround yourself with people who are experts. As a leader, when you’re successful, give someone else the credit. When you fail, take the heat. Leaders need to let employees know they have their back in times of crisis.”
This world-class event saw Starkey bringing together customer groups from all around the world to provide the hearing industry with rich content focused on research, technology, market development and business management alongside the valuable insight from world thought leaders.
