2026 marks an incredible milestone for Stockport-based health and safety consultancy, Vita Safety, which is celebrating 20 years of supporting organisations to protect their people, assets and reputations.
Vita Safety was established with the aim of providing practical, high-quality health and safety advice that actually works in the real world.
Two decades on, the business now works with schools, housing providers, commercial organisations, charities and manufacturing businesses across the UK and Internationally – helping them manage risk, navigate change, build safer environments, and, most importantly, prevent ill health, injuries and death at work.
Among the high points for the business over the past 20 years include:
- The honour of supporting client events, including those for Aston Martin with the Red Arrows and a VIP event at the Le Mans 24 hour race.
- Providing advisory and emotional support to partners and clients through the pandemic.
- Seeing friends, colleagues and clients achieve great things.
- Seeing team members go on to significant roles.
What makes this milestone particularly meaningful for Vita Safety is just how rare it is: in the UK, only around 11–12% of businesses reach 20 years of trading.
Commenting on Vita Safety reaching the 20-year milestone, Founder and Managing Director, Ian Hutchings wrote on LinkedIn:
“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but even more excited about what’s ahead – continuing to evolve, support our clients through new challenges, and raise standards across the sectors we work in.
“What is very clear is that health and safety and risk management is evolving more quickly than ever before, and I predict that we will see far more change within the next five years than in the last twenty. Looking ahead, the pace will impact stress and psychosocial wellbeing, stress on competency, resources and from climate change and geopolitics. We are not operating in the vacuum we may have twenty years ago.
“As health and safety practitioners we must look forward and embrace technology, but at the same time, not forget the past.
“Thank you. Here’s to a bright and exciting future!”
