Are you a veteran, a serving member of the armed forces or part of their family? If the answer is yes, please take the short survey
The Stockport Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Group are refreshing their priorities for the next three years, and they need your help.
They want to get a true picture of what it is like to be a member of the armed forces community in Stockport in 2021. Are you a veteran, a serving member of the armed forces or part of their family? If the answer is yes, please take a short survey to help them set their goals for the next three years. Please feel free to pass this link on to anyone you might know who fits the criteria.
The Stockport Armed Forces Covenant is owned and delivered by a range of partners across the borough, all working to help raise awareness of issues affecting the armed forces community and helping to remove any disadvantage they may face as a result of their service. One of the most important ways they do this is by seeking views of all community groups that work with veterans, to understand the issues they face in removing disadvantage for veterans. That’s why a second survey has been designed for those organisations who do such vital work with our armed forces community. If that’s you, take the survey now.
In Stockport, the first local Covenant was created in 2012, with the priorities being refreshed every three years since then. The Covenant is developed and overseen by our Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Group, including representatives from Stockport Council, other public service providers, charity organisations and members of the local armed forces community.
The Covenant aims to ensure that the issues that matter to armed forces personnel are spotlighted, and their experiences and skills are used to the benefit of the wider community.
Let’s help to build an even more positive future for Stockport’s armed forces community – together.
