Vernon Building Society’s Best of British brass band concert raised £1,360 for local charities Stockport Foodbank and the Furniture Station, both based in Hazel Grove.
The event saw flag-waving success with over 200 attendees enjoying the musical performance by the nationally regarded Vernon Building Society (Poynton) Brass Band. £1,360 in proceeds from ticket sales and refreshments on the night went to the two charities.
Joanne Watson, Fundraiser at The Furniture Station said: “The Poynton Brass Band were absolutely wonderful. The Best of British concert raised a lot of money for two great causes.
“At a challenging time where funding is tight, the Vernon Building Society have been incredibly supportive towards the work carried out at The Furniture Station and Stockport Foodbank.”
