A ‘Brass and Broadway’ production hosted by the Vernon Building Society has brought in cash for for a local charity!
Vernon Building Society recently held a Brass & Broadway concert in aid of local charity the Together Trust. The evening featured songs from popular musicals performed by the Vernon Building Society (Poynton) Brass Band and Zoe Rainey, star of West End shows such as Wicked, The Sound of Music and Hairspray.
The night was a resounding success and raised
£954 for the local charity which supports
individuals with a variety of needs including
behavioural, emotional and social difficulties,
autism spectrum conditions and sensory
impairments. The concert also celebrated the
25th anniversary of Vernon Building Society and
Poynton Band working together.

Staff from Vernon Building Society visited the Together Trust to find out more about the work that it does and how the funding raised from the concert would be used to support the young people at Together Trust.
Helena Brailsford, Fundraising Manager at the Together Trust said:
“The Brass and Broadway concert was a fantastic evening. The money that was raised by the concert will go towards our appeal fund for a 4D sensory learning environment for young people with autism to help
develop their sensory responses and social skills.”
The Together Trust is a local registered charity based in
Cheadle providing a range of social care, special
education and community services to over 1000 vulnerable
individuals and their families every year.
This includes those with learning disabilities, autism
spectrum conditions, behavioural, emotional and social
difficulties, communication difficulties, complex medical
needs and sensory impairments.
