A total of 14 community organisations and charities in Stockport need your votes to benefit from a share of £10,000 from the Vernon Building Society Community Awards.
Voting has been open for 3 weeks and the 14 groups shortlisted have already received over 4800 votes online.
The Vernon Building Society Awards have got everybody talking, with members of the public and the local community taking to social media to raise awareness for their preferred organisation.
Marketing Manager Alexander Deakin said:
“It is fantastic to see such a brilliant response to the awards this year. We have already had a record number of votes online and we still have one week left to vote! It has sparked a social conversation with members of the Stockport public, who have shown that they are committed to the success of local organisations.”
The groups’ summaries with a description of who they are and what they want to achieve with the funding can be found online at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/communityawards2018 or in any of the six Vernon branches – in the town centre, Bramhall, Marple, Reddish, Hazel Grove and Poynton.
Once you have decided who is most deserving of the funding votes can be registered by filling in a voting slip in branch or submitted online at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/communityawards2018
