The Vernon Building Society has partnered with Imagine Radio to launch their first Christmas Toy Appeal.
Throughout November and December, Imagine Radio will be taking donations of new and unwrapped gifts via the Vernon’s six branches in Stockport. Disadvantaged children and young people across Stockport will receive the gifts at Christmas.
Donations are being received up until 23rd December. Imagine Radio have provided a list of suggested gifts for their Christmas Toy Appeal that recipients might appreciate; these include:
- Musical and sensory early years toys
- Anything linked to transport, Lego, Superhero, Animal themes and Pokémon
- Coding and gaming related items (nothing over a 15 rating)
- Jewellery and dress up items
- Cooking and baking items
- Arts and crafts items
- Musical Instruments
- Outdoor toys and equipment
- Gift sets
Donations are being collected on behalf of the Together Trust who will distribute to gifts to disadvantaged children and young people this Christmas. The Together Trust is a charity that provides special education, residential services, fostering, family support and community services. The charity campaigns to challenge the negative perceptions and missed opportunities that people with disabilities, autism or complex needs and looked-after children face in society.
This year the Vernon won ‘Most Responsible Business Award’ at the Stockport Business Awards, and their Christmas Toy Appeal is another step towards their mutual vision to support our local community
