Stockport County’s education team will visit local schools and raise awareness of key issues such as obesity, substance abuse and anti-social behaviour through healthy living presentations delivered with a football theme.
Children will also have the opportunity to attend a Stockport County home game at Edgeley Park.
Chief Executive of the Vernon, Mike Hanson, said:
“We’re really pleased to be working with Stockport County to promote these positive messages in the area. We think this scheme can make a great impact on the lives of local children.”
Stockport County and Vernon Building Society also share a mascot, the much loved Vernon Bear, who will appear at every home game to entertain the crowds.
