The UK POS team took on the 64 mile Manchester to Blackpool charity bike ride and achieved amazing results for their chosen charity, The Christie.
The 7 strong team included Director Jason Leslie and Gary Johnson, Head of Operations.
The ride covered 64 miles starting from The Imperial War Museum through to Blackpool’s South Promenade.
The route
Cycling through Manchester, Atherton, Wigan, Bolton, Chorley, Leyland, Preston, Lytham, St Annes, the team ended the ride in Blackpool. The route followed main roads, country lanes and even one dual carriage way for good measure. Although a lot of the ride was flat, there were some challenging hills and strong winds along the coast.
The trials
Although the bike ride went relatively smoothly, the team did meet some challenges, including broken front brakes and gears!
The result
Breaking through the pain barriers, the team all managed to finish in one piece with smiles on their faces.
So far, UK POS have raised £1,355 on their Just Giving page, approximately £195 in the office and £250 on individual Just Giving pages. An amazing result for The Christie!
There is still time to donate, so if you would like to support The Christie and all the amazing work they do, you can donate to UK POS Just Giving page today.
Director Jason said: “A massive thank you to everyone who has donated and supported the team and an even bigger thank you to the team members who completed the mammoth cycle.”
