The last few months has been a particularly busy period for MAN Diesel & Turbo’s (MDT-UK) training Academy at its UK Headquarters in Hazel Grove.
Since the beginning of September 2014, the company has been running back-to-back training courses on eight different engine types for customers from literally across the globe.
Customers have visited Stockport from Saudi Arabia, Romania, Mexico, France, Cyprus and Taiwan whilst visitors from the UK have included representatives from the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and the Ministry of Defence.
In addition to training its customers, MAN ensures its own team of Field Service Engineers is also kept up to date with all the recent developments, combining theory work in specially designed classrooms, with practical work being done on full-size engines in the engine hall.
Visitors and customers are asked to provide feedback at the end of each course with the Academy scoring a very credible 5.8 out of 6 throughout 2014.
The picture above shows the most recent group of visitors (and their qualification certificates) with instructors Roger Scanlon and Andrew Fenn and MDT-UK Managing Director Andrew Bellamy.
