Stockport’s iconic Town Hall will host the Mayor of Stockport’s Charity Ball to raise funds for his chosen charity, Sector 3.
Mayor of Stockport, Cllr Adrian Nottingham, has set the ambitious target of raising £30,000 for the Mayor’s Charity before his term in office comes to an end in May.
The Stockport Mayor’s Ball will take place on 1st April 2022 from 6.30pm in the Town Hall Ball Room in the iconic ‘Wedding Cake’ building. The black tie event has been organised to raise money for the Sector 3, who provide support for other voluntary, charity and community sector organisations in the borough.
The evening’s entertainment promises a drinks reception, three course meal, raffle, auction, dancing and much more, all in support of charitable and community organisations in Stockport that have played an essential part in support people across the borough during the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Ball is one of a number of fundraisers planned for Spring in Stockport to raise funds for the Mayor’s Charity, including inviting teams from across the borough to brave an abseil down the side of Stopford House on 26th March.
Earlier this month, the Mayor of Stockport called on the business community in the borough to continue their collaboration with community organisations that began during the pandemic and work together to deliver growth, sustainability and inclusive and health communities in the borough as it recovers. Cllr Nottingham explained his call for businesses to support communities in Stockport in a short, two-minute video, available online here.
