Large crowds gathered across the region on Saturday as the 8th stage of the Tour of Britain came through.
This final stage saw the OVO Energy Tour of Britain starting in Altrincham, Wilmslow, Bramhall and out towards Marple and Ramsbottom with the finish in Manchester city centre.
The 165-kilometre route included 2,000 metres of climbing featuring the famous gruelling ‘Rake’ at Ramsbottom and not Jacksons Lane hill in Hazel Grove as our Editor thought 😉
The raced passed through all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester en route to the finish line at Deansgate in Manchester.
Crowds lined the roads as the rolling roadblock came through with Police outriders waving at crowds followed by support vehicles and then the riders coming through at pace.

Yes again another great event and crowd puller for local Stockport businesses on the day.
