Attendees can now book their free tickets to attend events being put on by Stockport Jobs Match to mark Greater Manchester Careers Week.
The week of sector-themed virtual careers events will help signpost jobseekers in the borough to careers advice, training, employers and live vacancies.
The five day event will cater to people at all stages in their career, from school leavers and graduates, through to experienced hires. Each day will focus on one of the following five sectors:
- Health & Social Care (Monday 1st March)
- Customer Service & Retail (Tuesday 2nd March)
- IT & Digital (Wednesday 3rd March)
- Marketing & Creative (Thursday 4th March)
- Manufacturing, Warehouse & Logistics (Friday 5th March)
As part of the event, attendees will be able to:
- Hear from featured Employers across Greater Manchester sharing experiences of workplaces and live job vacancies
- Find out what different jobs involve, the training required and the routes to progress through encounters with employees and experts
- Learn about labour market information, careers advice, development opportunities and future prospects
- Discover local training providers and support services offering funded courses and employment support programmes to help you gain the skills and qualifications required – including work experience, traineeships and apprenticeships
Each day of the virtual careers fair will offer two hours of online activity, following the same schedule:
9.00 – 10.00 #CareersHour: Live posting across social media of open job vacancies, training courses, funding, providers, careers guidance and employer profiles
10.00 – 11.30 Virtual Careers Fair Webinar: Featuring employers and training providers from across Greater Manchester providing experiences of their workplaces, encounters with employees, live jobs and training courses, careers guidance and labour market insights
Registering to attend will also provide access to a range of materials to make the most of the event, as well as a free information pack for every sector event attended featuring labour market insights, career guides and employer and training provider profiles.
