Third sector network, Sector3, has joined a number of local organisations giving their backing to the town’s annual LGBTQ+ festival, Stockport Pride.
Sector3, they are the charity infrastructure support network for voluntary, community and faith-based groups, social enterprises and charitable organisations in Stockport. As well as sponsoring this year’s event, their connections with charitable organisations across the event will ensure the event can bring together local people with organisations able to provide them support.
One of the focal points for this year’s Stockport Pride festival will be the stalls around the marketplace. They will include numerous local organisations promoting their services to the community – providing help and advice to improve people’s wellbeing.
Stockport Pride’s Chairperson, Stephen Bowyer, said:
“The third sector is at the heart of our yearly festival, and it’s great to have the support of Sector3. Their backing will help connect local people with services that will be beneficial to them.”
As well as Sector3, other organisations supporting this year’s Stockport Pride festival include musicMagpie, Sky, Stockport Homes, Adoption Counts, The Ted Darling Crime Novels, Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing Group, Lynx Taxis, Totally Stockport and The National Lottery Community Fund.
Stockport Pride will be free and open for all to attend in Stockport’s Historic Market Place from 11am until 6pm on Sunday 31st July, with plenty going on for the whole family.
