The pandemic hasn’t stopped children and young people at Seashell Trust from experiencing the magic of Christmas thanks to one of their biggest supporters, THG.
This week, the international e-commerce organisation treated students at Seashell Trust to a day of virtual festivities at Seashell’s site in Cheadle Hulme.
THG’s team provided Seashell’s students with an interactive experience from the comfort of their residential homes, with a one-to-one virtual meet and greet with Santa, a virtual singalong with Santa’s Elves and a chocolate carrot and lollipop making workshop with master chocolatier, Oliver Dunn.
Students at Seashell were also treated to a personalised Christmas Eve box full of festive activities, a personalised stocking and a gift chosen specially for each student.
To end the day, all staff and students tucked into a delicious festive afternoon tea, kindly delivered by King Street Townhouse.
Senior Fundraising Manager, Rachel McCrystal, said
We’re sending a huge Seashell thank you to THG, its owners Matt & Jodie Moulding, their events team and colleagues Helina Thompson and Adam Howarth for organising a spectacular day for our students.”
“Special thanks also go to Oliver Dunn and King Street Townhouse for their contributions. We are blown away by the magical experience and generosity of all involved – the day was a great success for our children and young people!”
A THG spokesperson said:
Seashell does amazing work helping children and young people with complex learning difficulties across the UK and we were delighted to support them by bringing some Christmas cheer to their students.”
