On 14 May, leading North-West accountants, Bennett Verby will be giving new meaning to the phrase “Tax Dodgers”.
Eight members of the team will swap their analysis pads and calculators for knee pads and calculated tactics, as they head for the dodge-ball court in a 12-hour marathon to raise money and awareness for Stockport’s Time-Bank charity, Give2Gain.
The event is being put-on by the charity in a bid to raise £2,000 in 2016 to fund 10 local community groups over the next year. The funds will provide at least 150 people with skills development, friendship and companionship, employment and family support.
Adam Rhodes, Head of CSR at Bennett Verby said, “We are very conscious of our role in the local community. Investing in Stockport is very much a part of our corporate culture here and this is reflected in the fact that 8 members of staff are so willing to give-up 12 hours of their Saturday.”
You can watch the Bennett Verby Tax Dodgers take-on the challenge at Stockport School on Mile End Lane, from 9am until 9pm.
