Stockport based charity Supportability are absolutely delighted to announce that they have raised c.£16,000 at their annual Charity Golf Day.
The event, which took place on 9th July, is the charity’s biggest fundraiser of the year and helps to fund Supportability’s work supporting local children and adults with complex physical and / or learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions. They sadly had to cancel last year’s event due to the pandemic.
They held the event at the beautiful Heaton Moor Golf Club and were incredibly lucky to have a lovely dry & sunny day. All the players had a fabulous time and Supportability would like to say congratulation to the winning teams.
Supportability was joined by David Myers Golf Academy who ran a golfing session for their service users, all of whom absolutely loved it. They’re very thankful to David for running such a creative and engaging session and giving their service users a wonderful experience to remember.
The event would not have been possible without the generous businesses who sponsor the day, so Supportability would also like to say a huge thanks to ACS Construction Group who were the main sponsor again this year, their co-sponsors Catax Group and Cardinal Global Logistics, and their mini-competition sponsor PennWhite. The charity would also like to extend their thanks to the hole sponsors, teams, prize donors and wonderful volunteers.
And finally, thanks to Heaton Moor Golf Club for hosting the event for the 28th year: “It’s a fantastic venue and they’re great supporters of the day and of Supportability. We can’t wait until next year’s event”
