Stockport Council are supporting National Playday with a special event at Torkington Park in Hazel Grove.
Families are being encouraged to come along to the event which takes place from 11.00am to 4.00pm on Wednesday 6th August.
The event will include a bouncy castle, mobile climbing wall, zip wire and assault course, face painting, badge making, cardboard city, straw bales, giant sandcastle, under 5’s area, libraries, sports/games, art/crafts, tin-can alley, clown troupe, hook a duck, prize draw, dance troupes, recycling obstacle course/recycling activities, puppet making and a treasure hunt.
Most activities are free, however there will be a small charge for some events. Activities are mainly child focussed but are open to all ages.
Councillor Wendy Meikle, Stockport Council Executive Member Children and Young People, said:
“Playday is a great opportunity for families to come together and enjoy playing. Last year’s event was extremely well attended so I would urge all local families to get involved and join us for a fun packed day.”
