Employee-owned Stockport based wholesaler, Parfetts, has added 25 new staff to further grow the group’s convenience store brands, Go Local and Go Local Extra.
The wholesaler has added five Business Development Managers and an additional 20 new employees at the Stockport head office, focusing on the Go Local family of brands.
In its latest annual accounts, Parfetts’ turnover grew 9.8% to £380 million, and in recent months, it has seen rapid expansion in its convenience store fascias.
The Stockport based group is now investing in further expansion, including in Go Local Direct (GOLD), a 24-hour depot model combining wholesalers and next-day delivery service on one site, which allows members to order up to midnight for next-day deliveries. The GOLD model has proved popular with retailers so far, with the Sheffield depot seeing 10% growth in the last year.
Parfetts’ Retail Director commented on the Stockport wholesaler’s expansion plans, saying:
