A Stockport trader pleaded guilty to selling alcohol to a person under the age of 18 at Stockport Magistrates Court on Wednesday 6th March.
Mr Ravinder Dhillon, aged 37, trading as Lifestyle Express on Stockport Road, Cheadle pleaded guilty to an offence contrary to section 146 of the Licensing Act 2003. The matter was heard in his absence at court.
Mr Dhillon was fined £240, plus a victim surcharge of £15 and costs £821.11 making a total of £1066.11.
Mr Dhillon was ordered to repay the monies by instalments of £20 per week. The court also made a collection order.
The case was brought against Mr Dhillon by Stockport Council following a test purchasing operation targeting a number of off-licences in Stockport, with a 16 year old volunteer attempting to purchase alcohol.
Mr Dhillon made this sale on the 10th August 2012.
