Culture Shift, a Stockport technology firm, has received a £1.35 million in a round of venture capital investment.
The Stockport business has developed a software platform to allow users to confidentially report workplace harassment and has been supported by Praetura Ventures, a VC firm which specialises in funding early stage businesses in high value sectors.
Culture Shift was founded following a string of high-profile stores about bullying and harassment in businesses across the UK. The Stockport technology firm is led by CEO and founder Gemma McCall who is a prominent commentator on workplace harassment, COO Stuart Bradley, and CTO Carl Sadd.
Praetura Ventures’ funding, and the support of its team, will help Culture Shift to develop its proprietary technology and accelerate its rollout to business customers, with a focus on FTSE 350 and regulated industries.
Lisa Stavropoulos, Partner and Will Munday, Senior Associate from global law firm, DWF’s corporate practice provided legal counsel for the Stockport technology business on the transaction. Commenting on the deal, Lisa said,
Having advised Culture Shift since its inception, we’re delighted to have advised on this fundraising which will help them to develop their proprietary software and accelerate its rollout to business customers, with a focus on FTSE 350 and regulated industries. Culture Shift is leading the charge on and providing an innovative solution to long-overdue issues around harassment and workplace bullying and we are proud to have played a part in the business’ next stage of development.”
