Stockport based carton board packaging manufacturer Glossop Cartons has further invested in its management team and appointed Simon Boden as Business Improvement Manager.
Simon has 35 years experience working in the packaging industry, and joins the Stockport manufacturer from Mayr Melnhof Packaging Iberica, where he worked as Production Director. He will be tasked with improving operational efficiency at the growing business, increasing production capacity and reducing customer lead times, while maintaining output of the highest quality.
Glossop Carton’s Joint Managing Director, Jacky Sidebottom-Every said:
As the business grows, both organically and via new business, it is vital that our production operation runs as efficiently as possible in order to continue to give our customers the highest quality products within increasingly competitive lead times.”
Simon Boden’s appointment to Glossop Carton’s management team is part of the Stockport packaging manufacturer’s plans for growth, through acquisition on additional industry expertise to enable further growth. His appointment follows that of operations director, Dave Bartlett, who was recruited last year.
Glossop Cartons is based on Whitehill Industrial Estate, Reddish, and its growth was most recently marked by the announcement of a property expansion of over 50%, as it acquired a new 2,300 square metre industrial building in order to further improve operational efficiency and facilitate investment in new manufacturing equipment.
Glossop Cartons has recently been shortlisted in the manufacturing and engineering category of the North West Family Business Awards, taking place in March.
