Norwood, a Stockport based manufacturer and installer of clean room systems, has achieved a 300% growth in turnover in the past five years, and is now on track to increase sales to £5 million by 2023.
The firm, based in Heaton Mersey, supplies industries such as advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, biosciences and healthcare with precision engineered products to ensure environments can be kept free of external contamination. In response to growing demand from these sectors, Norwood has increased turnover to around £2.6 million in the past five years, and is now seeking to invest in its factory, equipment and personnel to achieve further growth.
Thanks to a strong order book, the Stockport manufacturer is on track for growth that will see turnover exceed £5 million by 2023.
Managing Director of Norwood Josh Bannister said:
“Over the past five years, we have transitioned from serving smaller, local projects to supplying multimillion-pound developments of national and international significance.
“We are reinvesting in the business to maintain high service and quality standards and growing our talented team as we target a £5m turnover.”
The firm has already reinvested its strong results in new machinery, and is looking to invest further in its factory and digital presence to support further growth. The firm is also recruiting for three site-based roles, and has further plans to add a trainee position in the coming year.
