Stockport Homes has been recognised as one of Britain’s best employers for the seventh year running by the Sunday Times newspaper.
The social landlord moved four places from last year to become the 59th best non-profit company to work for.
The placing is determined by an anonymous survey of all staff at participating organisations throughout the country. It takes into account factors such as good management, social principles, and staff wellbeing.
Survey results showed that employees feel the organisation is run on strong values and principles, that managers talk openly and honestly with their team members and Stockport Homes has a strong social conscience.
Chair of the Board, David Wright, said: “To be recognised as a Top 100 employer in the not-for-profit list highlights the work we do to ensure that Stockport Homes is a great place to work.
“We value feedback from our staff as it plays a vital role in helping the organisation to achieve its goals. We support all employees to achieve their goals to help with their personal development and to help make a difference for our customers in the Borough.”
