Chief Executive at Stockport Homes Group, Helen McHale scooped the prestigious title of ‘Most People Focused CEO’ at the HR Excellence Awards.
The award is considered particularly special because the award is based on independent research carried out across the sector, not nominated for it by their organisations
Billed as “the most sought after, the most prestigious and the longest running awards in the field of HR”, the HR Excellence Awards recognise the organisations and individuals pushing the boundaries of people strategy. The awards cover both the public and private sector, including large, multinational companies.
In 2018 she was named in the Most Influential People in Housing, achieved because of her business acumen, her ambition and passion for the housing sector on both a local and national level and her effectiveness at influencing, shaping and challenging policy.
Helen has always advocated that SHG deliver the best possible services to customers through having the most talented, committed and ambitious workforce. At SHG – the staff are the biggest assets.
In the year that SHG have celebrated 10 years of Best Companies, ranked as Sunday Times number 1 housing provider to work for, achieved IIP Platinum it is fitting that the Chief Executive be recognised for the innovative, empathetic and inspirational leadership she shows.
