Stockport Homes Group have won two highly acclaimed National Awards at the annual Housing Heroes Awards 208. Winning ‘Frontline Team of the year’ and the ‘Tenant Innovator of the year’ awards.
The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Manchester Central on 25 June.
These awards promote and celebrate innovative affordable housing providers, projects and services in the North that are helping to create great communities where people love to live.
Stockport Homes won the Frontline team of the year award for the work delivered by the Housing Options Team, who work to prevent homelessness in Stockport.
Sarah Hardy won the Tenant innovator of the year award for the amazing work she has done for Offerton Community Café. She has developed a popular menu; recruited, trained and retained 25 volunteers; and has also recently won a national TPAS award.
Robin Burman Chair of Stockport Homes’ Board said,
