Stockport Homes Group is delighted to announce that its new Charity of the Year for 2018 is Reuben’s Retreat.
Set up in 2012 by Nicola and Mike Graham following the tragic death of their 23 month old son, Reuben’s Retreat supports and offers counselling to families of children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and to those who have lost their precious child, brother or sister.
Their goal is to provide a retreat in the North West of England countryside that will relieve the distress of these families and their close friends through Reuben’s legacy – ‘a place to Relax, Recharge, Remember, Rebuild, built on an army of love and compassion’. The charity has already raised sufficient funds to purchase the retreat, an incredible Victorian building set in parkland in the peak district. The challenge now is to raise sufficient funds for the REUBuild.
Nicola Graham, Reuben’s Mummy and Founder of Reuben’s Retreat said,
We are absolutely thrilled to be Stockport Homes’ charity of choice for 2018. I know the committed team will make such a difference to our cause and we are so excited to have them join #reubensjourney, a charity founded on love and hope. We are looking forward to getting to know the team and sharing our beautiful charity with them.”
Fundraising at Stockport Homes Group has already begun with a January raffle and a calendar of activities will launch within the next few weeks.
