The partnership between Stockport Homes and B4Box has won a prestigious award at the North West Regional Construction Awards 2018.
The innovative project won the ‘Integration and Collaborative Working Award’. The winners were announced at a ceremony in Manchester on 6 July 2018.
This award win celebrates the commitment to transforming lives that Stockport Homes shares with B4Box, who provide training and employment opportunities in construction to people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
In addition, one of the successful apprentices was also crowned G4C Future Leader award, and is progressing from B4Box to Stockport Homes Group during July into a new, full time position as Building Surveyor.
Aileen McDonnell, founder and CEO of B4Box said,
“We are delighted to have been recognised for the strong working partnership we have with Stockport Homes, and how we are continuing to make a huge difference to the lives of local people and providing them with bright future career opportunities.”
Robin Burman, Chair of Stockport Homes’ Board said,
“This successful project is making a huge difference to Stockport, boosting the local economy and providing a range of opportunities to a diverse group of staff. We are proud to have been recognised for the impact we are making in the Stockport Community.”
